Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Amamapp (the “Platform”), operated by Amama Weddings (“Amamapp”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, listing a venue, sending an enquiry or making a booking, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Definitions
- Couple / User: a person browsing, enquiring or booking a venue.
- Venue: a venue owner or operator that lists on the Platform.
- Booking: a reservation of a date confirmed through the Platform.
- Deposit: the 30% of the booking total paid to reserve a date.
- Commission: the fee payable by the Venue to Amamapp on confirmed bookings.
3. Our role
Amamapp is a curated marketplace that connects couples with wedding venues. We are an intermediary: the contract for the wedding and the services provided at the venue is between the Couple and the Venue. We are not the owner or operator of any venue and are not a party to that service contract, except in our role facilitating discovery, bookings and payments.
4. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to book or list. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
5. Venue listings & responsibilities
- Venues are personally reviewed by Amama Weddings before being listed.
- Venues must keep their pricing, availability, capacity and details accurate and up to date.
- Venues must honour confirmed bookings and provide the services as described.
- Venues are responsible for holding the licences, permits and insurance required to operate.
- Venues grant Amamapp permission to display their listing content on the Platform.
6. Enquiries & bookings
Browsing and contacting venues is free. A Booking is confirmed when the date is reserved and the Deposit is paid through the Platform. The applicable price is the price shown for the selected date (which may vary by weekend, season or special period) plus any per-guest catering where offered.
7. Prices, payments & commission
- Couples pay exactly the Venue's price. There are no booking or service fees for couples.
- A 30% Deposit is paid to reserve the date; the remaining balance is due 60 days before the wedding.
- Amamapp charges the Venue a commission of 4% on confirmed bookings. This is never charged to the Couple.
- Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider; by paying you also agree to their terms.
8. Cancellations & refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Protection Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: the Deposit is non-refundable; couple cancellations closer to the date retain a higher percentage; and if a Venue cancels a confirmed booking, the Couple receives a full refund, we help secure a comparable venue, and the Venue is subject to a penalty.
9. Couples’ responsibilities
Couples must provide accurate booking information, comply with the Venue's reasonable rules and pay amounts due on time. Any additional services agreed directly with the Venue are between the Couple and the Venue.
10. Content & intellectual property
All Platform content, branding and design belong to Amamapp or its licensors. Venues retain rights to the content they upload but grant Amamapp a licence to display it. You may not copy, scrape or reuse Platform content without permission.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amamapp is not liable for the acts, omissions or services of any Venue, nor for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the commission we received for that booking. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Amamapp against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or, for Venues, from the services you provide or fail to provide.
13. Privacy
We process personal data in line with applicable data-protection law (including the GDPR). We collect the information needed to operate the Platform and process bookings, and we do not sell your data.
14. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control (e.g. extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions). In such cases we will work with both sides toward a fair resolution.
15. Changes to these terms
We may occasionally update these Terms — for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. The current version is always shown here with the date above. Importantly, any booking you have already confirmed remains governed by the Terms you agreed to at the time — we will never change the rules of a booking after it is confirmed.
16. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of San Sebastián, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
