Cancellation & Protection Policy
Booking a venue means reserving a date that the venue can no longer sell to anyone else. To keep things fair and clear for everyone, the following policy applies to every booking made through Amamapp.
If you (the couple) cancel
The amount retained depends on how close the cancellation is to your wedding date:
More than 120 days before the wedding30% deposit (non-refundable)
90–120 days before50% of the total
60–90 days before75% of the total
Less than 60 days before100% of the total
The 30% deposit is non-refundable in all cases. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the wedding.
If the venue cancels
This is rare, but you are fully protected. If a venue cancels a confirmed booking:
- ✓ You receive a 100% refund of everything you have paid.
- ✓ Amama Weddings helps you find and secure a comparable venue for your date.
- ✓ The venue is bound by a penalty and may be removed from the collection.
How your booking is protected
- › Every venue is personally vetted by Amama Weddings before joining.
- › Venues agree to these binding terms — including the cancellation penalty — when they list.
- › Amamapp acts as the trusted intermediary between you and the venue from enquiry to wedding day.
- › Couples pay exactly the venue’s price — Amamapp earns a small commission from the venue, never from you.
By reserving a date you accept this policy. Venues accept it when they list. Force-majeure events (e.g. extreme weather, legal restrictions) are handled case by case with a fair resolution for both sides.
